Is all chrome plating the same?
No. There are different types of chrome plating to serve different needs. Hard chrome plating, the type used in hydraulic component repair, isn’t the shiny, showy chroming you see on decorative hub caps or pretty motorcycles. The difference is in the width of the plating. All chrome plating, however, is applied electrostatically.
What is wrong with my hydraulic cylinder?
You’ll need an expert to tell you exactly what’s wrong, but some common causes of failure in hydraulic cylinders are that the cylinder is cracked, the piston rod is bent; the seal is broken; or the piston rings are damaged.
